  1. Alaskan Malamutes – are slower and heavier than huskies, known as huge sled dogs. These dogs have unpredictable personalities and can attack other dogs suddenly without giving off any sign. They are bred to be extremely independent and have aloof personalities.

What you get in having a malamute-wolf crossbred – incredibly aloof dogs, loves people but won’t respond to commands if they don’t want to, lacks of wanting to please the owners. They have food aggression, and dogs aggression for no reason. Not recommended as an F1 or F2 wolfdog. Their howls can be likened to the beautiful howls of wolves.

  1. German Shepherds – least wolfy –looking for all breeds used to create wolfdogs because of their bat-like and huge ears, sloppy hips, short coats. German Shepherds are already wolfdogs. In the late 1800s, wolves have been used to breed with the breed. They are already 10% or fewer wolfdogs. They are easily trained, adores people, reactive, confident and listens to voices of people if trained from the start.

They are bred to react and respond to a command which makes them an incredible wolfdog, but to make them responsible wolfdogs, make sure you get one that is not F1 or F2 wolfdog. On the downside, a German Shepherd Wolfdog can be nervous around people he is not used to and could go into protective mode for people he loves. So remember, first generation wolfdog-German Shepherd mixes are not for the amateur breeders, but a much better choice than a husky wolfdog and a malamute wolfdog.

German Shepherd wolfdog mixes are also very athletic and can jump huge heights. But because they love being with people, they would rather stay inside the garden even if they can easily jump to the other side of the garden walls.

Bluebay Shepherds are a relatively new breed of German Shepherd wolfdog mix that is incredibly beautiful.
