Dog Rescued One Hour Before Being Euthanized – Tear Jerking Alert…

Edie was in a pretty terrible state when Mirkovich rescued her. She was dirty all over and her fur was matted. In addition to that, Edie was terribly frightened. And anyone knows that in such a state, dogs will undoubtedly feel defensive and aggressive, as she was. But Mirkovich was not deterred and soon showed what a little love and patience can do.

At one point in the video, when Mirkovich is trying to put the leash around Edie, the dog defecates in fear. Mirkovich, dog shit notwithstanding, pulls Edie onto his immediately and calms her down. Once Edie is calm, there is even a moment where she wags her tail! The change in her heartbreaking and sweet all at the same time. Her grooming, on the hand, is a little amusing. Her fur is all shaved off so she can grow some new one and she does look a little funny without her fur. But the change in her demeanor is remarkable as she snuggles next to Mirkovich for some petting.
Edie is one of those few dogs who get a second chance at life due to kind hearted people like Hagar and Mirkovich. The dogs in the shelters are in a completely new environment and it is not surprising if they are feeling defensive. But, as Mirkovich has shown in the video, all dogs need is a little bit of attention and a hug to know that they will be okay.
