Once they’ve walked their near her, they can clearly see a massive wound – her right front leg was completely open, attracting infection as time ticks by.

She was afraid, crying, and whining while trying to get away from the strangers, but what she didn’t know is that they came to help. They came to help her and rescue her from the agonizing pain she was not supposed to even have in the first place.

They let her rest for a while, while she tries to catch her breath, but the rescuers knew they needed to move quickly. Complications are bound to happen when you have wounds, and with the kind of wound she has, time is of the essence. Slowly, one rescuer tried to move closer. Holding a blanket, he makes his way towards the injured female dog. Another rescuer stepped in to help clear the dried bushes away so they can take the injured dog out of that place.

Slowly but surely, they were able to clean the area around her, and the dog started to calm down a bit. The rescuers knew she is now very much exhausted and in pain, so they take the opportunity to drape the brown blanket they’ve been carrying. Slowly lifting the dog that is now cuddled up in the blanket, they made their way to their vehicle back to their clinic. It was a slow walk as they didn’t want to hurt her more, but they wanted to get her checked the soonest time possible.

Once they reached the Animal Aid, they quickly went to work and sedated the injured dog. Treating her while she’s out would be easier for the vets, and will cause her lesser pain in the process. They cleaned her gaping wound, careful to wash it out of dirt and debris. They prepared her for the surgery and shaved the surrounding skin.

At this point, the vets can clearly see how big and deep her wound is. She has four broken muscles – all major ones that were torn apart. The wound is so deep you can even see her white bone deep inside of her body. The only consolation the poor injured female dog had was that luckily, no major artery or vein was affected.

They stitched her skin up after stitching the torn muscle and had to insert and keep a tube inside the wound to drain all the dirt inside the wound. The tube will flush all of that out of her body.
