These are 11 Amazing Life Hacks For Dog Owners

  1. If your dog loves to play with toys, then you’re fully aware that buying them one is one of your priority to keep happy, active and entertained. However, dog toys can add up pretty quickly. If your dog is one of those who extremely loves to chew and keeps on breaking any toy you give them, there is a simple solution that is much cheaper than constantly having to buy him toys.

All you have to do is grab an empty water bottle. Look for one that would be an appropriate size for your dog. Next, apply a bit of pressure and squeeze the body of the bottle. Put the lid on to keep it in its lopsided state. This will prevent the bottle from being crushed. It will make a crinkling sound that is alluring to dogs. Place the water bottle inside a fluffy sock and tie the end, leaving a small space in between the knot.

If your dog tends to chew on your clothes, try to choose another material to wrap the bottle with.

  1. If your dog tends to eat fast, this can lead to an upset stomach. You can try to buy him one of those maze bowls that help dogs eat slower, but it can cost you a few dollars. The alternative version is by placing the ball on a bowl full of dog food, or using a muffin tin and spread out his dog food. If you want your dog to have fun while eating slowly, cut tennis balls into half and cover the muffin tins with dog food.
  2. There is a tried and tested flea shampoo you can easily make yourself. Just mix a half cup of water, four tablespoons of Dawn dish soap and four tablespoons of vinegar. The dish soap will kill the fleas while vinegar wards them off. Lather up for about five minutes and run a comb to remove dead fleas and rinse.
