Things take a turn for the worse when the old man suffers a stroke. The dog watches as the man is incapacitated. An ambulance responds to the emergency and we see the dog running behind the ambulance, all the way to the emergency department of the hospital. As per rules, the dog is not allowed to enter the hospital. As the old man gets attended to, the dog waits for his owner, just outside the hospital.

The night makes way for a day, the day makes for a rainy night and several days pass by as the dog waits outside the hospital, perhaps without food and water. The dog wants to see the old man being clearly unaware of what transpires in the hospital.


One day, when the dog is still waiting outside the hospital, the main door opens and out comes a woman who has apparently been discharged. The dog jumps up on its feet, seemingly gleeful and runs up to the woman. The woman doesn’t seem to know the dog and there is no reason the dog should know her since they have no past. But we are told that the old man had donated his organ to the woman whose life was possibly saved by the act.
