The female rescuer named Loreta came in close and tried to pet the poor homeless dog. She did not even budge and went on munching her meal. She was so hungry she doesn’t even care if a stranger tries to touch her.
A woman came in, presumably the one who called the rescue group out and told them about what she knows. If it not for the kind woman, this poor dog could have suffered longer, and who knows what could happen next.
Loreta used what they call the lucky leash and tied it gently around the dog’s neck. After letting her eat for quite some time, Loreta picked her up slowly and made their way towards their vehicle. They secured her inside a cage.
They went on straight to the hospital to have her checked by the vet. There they found she has many ticks, her gums and mouth with ulcers and her body temperature that was lower than usual.
They shaved her fur but couldn’t give him a bath, so they wrapped her in a fluffy yellow blanket to give her some warmth. Sadly, all her teeth needed to be removed.
She slowly but surely recovered. Her ticks started clearing out and fur sprouted beautifully. A week after being rescued, Loreta took her home to make sure she gets the special care and attention she needs. She was continually monitored, treated and given the love she very much deserves. They gave her home cooked meals every day and rubbed her skin daily with coconut oil. She even made friends with her rescuers two dogs!
Alice’s rescuers did everything they can to make sure she heals and recovers to optimum health. It took some time, but Alice is worth all the time and effort.
Alice is such a sweet dog from the moment she was rescued. Her true personality came out after learning to trust the ones who saved her.
Check out what she looks like now on the next page!
