Crime and violence are some of the biggest problems we have nowadays. Animal abuse, in particular, is one of the most gruesome types of crime that leaves hundreds of dogs in pain and distress. Sometimes, when someone tries to stop violence against dogs, it becomes a matter of life and death.

Dog owners and lovers alike are willing to do anything to keep their fur babies safe, and often times extending their love to those poor dogs who badly need their help. As a dog owner myself, I feel bad whenever I see canines in the streets with no place to call their home. I try to help as much as I can. However, there are some who are willing to go an extra mile.

I recently saw a story on the internet about a dog lover who tried to do everything he can to help a poor pup. Robert Wilson and his fiancee Sue Hoskins were staying at a hotel in Smyrna. Robert allegedly saw 35-year-old Donavous Jerome Drennon choking a cute Yorkshire Terrier just outside his room.

Being an animal lover, Robert instantly tried to intervene, asking Donavous why he’s hurting the poor puppy. Donavous got mad and shot Wilson in his chest and proceeded to run away from the crime scene.

When Sue heard the commotion, she instantly went to where Robert was and saw Donavous tell her fiancee that it was his dog. Donavous the proceeded to shoot her fiancee in the chest and fled the scene.

Shocked and devastated, she tried to stop the bleeding and asked for help. A bystander also rushed to help Wilson. They were able to bring Wilson to the TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center but later died the same day.
