Aren’t Corgis amazing? They are so lovable that they even captured the heart of one of the world’s most powerful and influential woman in the world. Know who I’m talking about? It’s the Queen of the United Kingdom, Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. It was reported that she has owned more than 30 Corgis.

Did you also know that Corgis are often called “Enchanted Dogs” because of legends that state fairies and elves of Wales took a liking to this gorgeous breed? They used them to serve as steeds for fairy warriors, work in fairy cattle and even pull fairy coaches. Some even claim that the marks found on a Corgi’s shoulder are marks of fairy saddles.

I also came to learn that Corgis do not have a high maintenance fur. They do shed a lot more than other breeds, but it requires far less work to keep it healthy. Smooth and glowing. With proper nutrition and dehydration, you Corgi’s fur will look like a million bucks. They are also not limited to two-color schemes, as some Corgis can have a variety of colors.

Another fun fact – Corgi means dwarf dog. Cor means dwarf while Gi means dog in the Welsh Language. There are considered prized dogs in the early days, and if you try to steal a corgi, you will be severely penalized.

There you have it! I hope you learned new things and enjoyed them as much as I did. Which corgi fact do you already know? Can you share more reasons why Corgis are irresistible? Let us know in the comment section below!
