They carefully cleaned his body, making sure to remove all pus and dried blood in his fur. After a nice bath, they shaved his fur near the wound.

They had to do extensive debridement on his wound to promote healing in the wounds nearby tissue. Hypertonic gauze is then used to cover the now cleaned wound to aid in the healing process.All this happened while Moses, the name given to the dog by his rescuers, remained calm. He seems to be a real sweetheart, a gentle dog who does not deserve the cruel experience he had to endure. But thanks to his rescuers at Animal Aid Unlimited, India, he was able to recover.

The dog who almost gave up in life grew to be a happy Moses. In just the span of two months, he healed beautifully all thanks to the love and care of those whose people who makes the world a much better place.

This is Moses now – happy, active and full of life. He is still the sweet and gentle dog they rescued in the streets minus the flies, maggots, and wound. He may have lost an ear, but that did not stop him from living a happy life.He loves being touched and enjoys the company of his rescuers. His story has reached many people all around the world, and lots of lives were touched. People, including myself, are very thankful for organizations such as the one who rescued Moses. Because of the rescue group, we have one less stray dog that needed to be rescued in the streets.

How can we ordinary citizens help these organizations in saving more animals? A simple donation is enough. If we are financially incapable of donating, there are other ways we can help, by volunteering or by a simply calling them to let them know of a poor animal soul who needs their help. Every little thing counts, as long as your intention is good, and your actions will result in another life being rescued, that is more than enough.
