Mcdougal – A Senior Shelter Dog Rescued Just In The Nick Of Time

Track Your Dog At All Times - Do You Know Where Your Dog Is? We do.

Isn’t it remarkable knowing how a great organization came to life with just one simple act of kindness? It only means you don’t have to start big just to be able to help. It only takes a special and kind heart to start something as big as saving the lives of others.

It’s just sad to think that there are times when dogs and another pets in shelters are placed on a list where they will eventually be euthanized. I mean I understand there are times we need to make difficult decisions to put someone else’s misery to a stop, but if it’s just to control the overpopulation of shelters, I don’t think that’s a human way of doing things.

Another thing is when senior dogs were put on the list just because of what, they’re old? I mean old dogs deserve to be loved too. They have spent their life loving their owners, longing for love and care from humans before they leave this world. They deserve every bit of love as much as the newborn dogs do.

I remember one of my rescue dogs. Every time I think about her, I can’t help but feel proud. When I adopted her, I was told she’d only a few months to live, but guess what? She lived a full three more years. I believe she lived longer than expected because she felt loved during the last moments of her life, and that gave her the will to live even just a little bit longer.

If only we give senior dogs another chance, especially the rescued ones, we’ll come to learn they can make you happy and contented even with their old and wrinkly self. I am planning on getting another senior dog next year, and I hope you’ll find it yourself to adopt one too. Let’s save more animals in shelters and give them another chance in life.
