A Man Cried Out In Vain After A Group Of Activists Took His Puppy. The Reason? Find It Out Here

The petition states that groups or organizations should follow due process in securing the animal. They are not allowed to just snatch the dog without any warning.

Activists countered that the homeless man was in fact, a Roma, a term used to call a male gypsy and that he was using the dog to beg in the streets. The dog was never vaccinated, doesn’t have an ID, wasn’t fed well and was drugged in order to keep the dog’s good and quiet behavior.

The critic’s eye did not miss a tiny detail which must have slipped the activist’s mind when they posted a status on Facebook. The post was a listing for a dog’s adoption, the very same dog taken from the homeless man. The post was later deleted.

The president of the Cause Animale Nord, Anthony Blanchard, addressed the issue. He stated that in most cases, Romas uses dogs in begging by drugging the animal.
According to Blanchard, the video only shows a fraction of the incident. Their group’s only intended to keep the dog away from abuse and exploitation. He also stated that the video uploader failed to assess the animal’s condition. They would not need to do such intervention if the state is doing their job.

The Animal Protective League’s president, Gregory Malfait was saddened when he heard the incident and told the media that what the activists did was illegal.
It’s very unfortunate for such incidents to happen. No one is able to pinpoint what the real deal is. Did the homeless man really drug his dog? Was it really necessary to snatch the dog and run away from its owner? How will such incidents be handled in the future?

One thing is for sure – no dog, animal, or man deserves to be treated without respect. Dogs have feelings, just like us. We call dogs pets for a reason – to be loved and cherished. We all need and deserve some who will love and take care of us, just as much these angels deserved to be loved and taken care of.
