How many stray dogs are injured and needed medical attention? How many dogs are being dumped by their owners who changed their mind in taking care of them? How many wore will experience the life of a stray who has no one to keep him company but themselves?

It is sad to think this is actually happening before, right now and possibly in the future. What are we doing to our best companions yet? Why are there people who find pleasure in hurting, neglecting and abandoning animals who only offered unconditional love to them?

I am thankful there are still many people who take good care of their pets. I am thankful that there are many people who take their time to help dogs, cats, and other animals be rescued. I am thankful there are organizations dedicated to saving pets that were injured, abandoned, neglected and abused by people who have no heart. And I am thankful for the people who continue to support the advocacies of these groups.

But the question remains, when will this end? How will this end? Will it really end? I do sure hope so.
