To this young courageous woman, acting instinctively might not be the wisest choice. But on the spur of the moment, it was her unconscious mind that told her it was the only thing she can do to save the helpless dog.

These poor and helpless dogs had to endure pain inflicted by police officers. These officials who have no proper training on how to handle dogs on the loose and even those that are currently tied in are being killed. According to statistics, one dog is being killed every 98 minutes by law enforcement. However, no officer died while in service because of dog attacks.
With that being said, it seems puppycide is turning into an epidemic. Puppycide is being used to call the killings made by officials who do not pose a huge threat towards them or anyone for that matter. Is lack of training on handling dogs enough reason to do such horrible acts to these poor canines?
The sad thing is, there is no study or database that shows statistics the exact number puppycide. The US Postal service does have knowledge of how any of their workers injured and bitten by dogs while in service.
However, we seem to have no data over official’s puppycide. This has got to stop, but how? Although there are movements made by concerned groups to stop law enforcers to from killing dogs, it would be hard to push through. Why? Cause the system we have seems to take one side only, and that’s the police’s side.
