This Poor Ecstatic Puppy Wagging His Tail So Hard To Greet Rescuers He Hurts Himself

With an unknown history only known to him, it is unclear how XO derives that kind of energy despite having physiological problems which are clearly painful to him or at least discomforting him.
The happy tailed dog seems to be in his own world while wagging as became apparent when once he just wouldn’t stop. When XO was rescued and brought to the shelter, he kept wagging his tail. The staff called him happy tail but after relentless wagging, he started to bleed at the tail. In a relatively short life that he had encountered, he had obviously had an unpleasant experience and yet he was so happy. Extreme happiness may have lead to bleeding from the tail but that has still not changed him. The little guy is just the same.

Second Chance Rescue at NYC chose to help with the adoption or at least finding a foster home for XO. Alyssa Ellman of Second Chance Rescue was the one who gave XO his name, simply because of his ardent desire to kiss and hug everyone he comes across. Since finding a foster home, XO has gained ten pounds, recovered from mange and is on his way to become a strong adult dog.
